Stephen DeSantis

Stephen DeSantis is one of the founders and current president of BenefitEdge Insurance Services Inc.  He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University while playing football and throwing hammer for the track and field team. After graduation, he competed in two Olympic Trials placing seventh in the nation in 1999.

Stephen personally experienced frustration associated with medical claims for his family, and this incentive prompted him to use his business expertise to establish an employee benefits brokerage firm that would specialize in providing the best programs available to fit within an employer’s benefit budget.  His personal experience coupled with his unparalleled dedication and personal attention to his clients, built a solid reputation of excellence.

Over decade later, BenefitEdge Insurance has continued to provide excellent service and benefits packages for their clients.  It shows as most of our new business is simply referral based.

In his free time, you may find Stephen supporting his children and their sports and school activities and he especially enjoys rooting for the Bay Area sports teams (Sharks, Giants, 49ers, As) and his hometown team the Steelers.  Occasionally you may see him trying to improve his golf game.

Rachel Borello

Rachel is a founding principal of BenefitEdge Insurance, and is a native of the San Jose area.  She attended a local Bay Area community college and worked towards a nursing degree, but as her young family grew, she focused on raising her four children.

She was actively involved with the start up of two small businesses before entering the employee benefits business. Her determination and passion for exceptional customer service has been a breath of fresh air in today’s world of computer generated, voice activated customer service response.  Rachel’s personal attention to her clients rises above the norm to ensure that her clients, employees and their families understand and utilize the each and every benefit of their custom designed programs.

Rachel is PPACA certified and a member of SVAHU and NAHU.  She also received her HIP (Health Insurance Professional) designation in 2012.

Rachel keeps busy with her children and family.  A natural athlete at heart, she enjoys watching and participating in many sports, and is quite a good golfer.  She recently competed in the San Francisco Women’s Nike half marathon.

Rebekah Robertson

Rebekah joined the BenefitEdge team in 2010 and serves as our VP of finance and HR compliance support.  She provides audit support for our clients and excellent service in HR compliance and auditing.  She has a background in accounting with several years of accounting experience with several silicon valley companies.

Pam Ludeman

Pam Ludeman joined BenefitEdge Insurance in 2012 and provides excellent customer service and enrollment/COBRA support for our clients.  Due to the various demands of ACA, you will find Pam behind every carrier billing audit that we perform for our clients.

Jill Schwinn

Jill was hired in 2009 to provide individual/family insurance coverage for our clients.   She also provides excellent employee support along with worker’s compensation insurance.  She graduated from San Jose State in 1995 with bachelor’s degree in English.

Brad Cairns

Brad joined us in 2011 to assist us with the ever-changing world of technology.   He is our IT and Technology Director and works with us to improve our company website, social medial along with our client provided sites, our mobile app, security, ACA compliance, and other technological challenges that arise.

Alexa Wise

Alexa started with BenefitEdge Insurance back in 2013 on a part-time basis and assists with back-end support such as billing audits, new hire packets, open enrollment support.
